TOUR DETAILS:
The St. Augustine Wild Reserve offers tours every Monday and Wednesday at 2pm. On Friday, we have a special VIP tour from noon until 1:30pm (this tour is priced differently). On Saturday, we have 2 tours; one at 11:00am and one at 2:00pm, by appointment only. We are not open to the public on a drop-in basis. Tours are approximately one and a half hours long, guided by an experienced wildlife professional, so advanced reservations must be made.
Donations go towards the care of the animals at the reserve. The St. Augustine Wild Reserve is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Tour fee is $35 per person. Children 10 years of age and under are admitted for $25. Children 2 years of age are admitted for only $5.
Enjoy a V.I.P. tour on Fridays, by appointment only. This special tour starts at noon (12:00 PM) and is limited to a maximum of 25 guests. Note that we do not honor any discounts on our special VIP day. Tour cost is $60 per person for all ages.
Guests will be given a guided tour of the 7-acre animal compound by an experienced wildlife professional. An introduction to each species, basic biology, and how the animal arrived at our sanctuary will be discussed. Visitors will be allowed within 5-10 feet of our exotic animals, which are housed in secure habitats. We do not allow public contact with our animals. On the tour you will meet our amazing white tigers, orange tigers, a very rare golden tabby tiger, an even rare Ti-Liger, lions, liger, servals, lynxes, a bear, leopards, jaguars, hyenas, and a host of wolves ranging in color from black to white. Please come visit us for the experience of a lifetime!
Due to the fact that our animals are in secure chain link cages, which precludes the taking of clear photographs, we no longer allow photos at the Reserve. This includes cell phone photos and video cameras. Instead, we will be offering a flash drive in the Power Point format ($10) at the end of the tour which has nearly 500 beautiful, cage-free photos of all of the animals that you will meet at the Reserve.
Please log onto www.Bookeo.com/tigertours to book your tour with us. When you book the tour on Bookeo, you will be asked to submit a non-refundable 75% deposit. Please read the terms and conditions before booking your tour, under the Info button.
You will receive a confirmation from Bookeo. If you did not receive a confirmation with directions, please email us at wildreserve@aol.com and we will get your reservations all straightened out. Thank you for your patience with our booking service.
Individuals of all ages are welcome to take our tour, but keep in mind, it is one and a half to two hours long, so small children may not be able to last the whole trip on foot. You are welcome to leave a little early, if you have to. You may bring a stroller, but the path is hard packed limerock, so some spots may be a little bumpy.
We have two nice limo golf carts available on all of our tours for individuals who are elderly, handicapped, or are otherwise unable to walk long distances. You may use a wheelchair, but keep in mind, the pathway is hard packed coquina sand and gravel, so it may be uneven in some spots. Note that we no longer honor any groupon or social living coupons. You may book your tour at bookeo.com/tigertours.
Recommended shoes are hiking boots, rubber boots or tennis shoes (sandals are ok; just watch where you step since Florida has lots of fire ants). Always bring a rain poncho (not an umbrella, which blocks the view of the animals). We have some ponchos here for $3 each. Bring bottled water with you; we will have free bottled water available, in case you forget. We have a large, wheelchair-accessible port-a-potty on the grounds for guests, but if these units gross you out, try to "go" before you get here! Bring bug spray (this is Florida, after all), and a hat to protect you against the sun.
If you have very small toddlers, you have the option of fitting them with a harness and leash. We want all of our little visitors to be safe. While my volunteer staff watches all of the guests to ensure their safety, we want to make sure that very small children don’t slip away from their parents. We don’t want them to get too close to the animal habitats. So, to ensure the safety of your small children, please use a child-safe harness/leash, if at all possible. This is only a suggestion (not mandatory).
NOTE: We do not cancel because of rain. We conduct our tours, rain or shine. If there is a hurricane brewing, we will decide on whether or not to have the tour as the hurricane draws near.

NEW UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL TOURS OFFERED!
As most everyone knows, we have our usual tours on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We have decided to add more private tours to the mix at various times, on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. These tours will be available by appointment only, for anyone who wishes to take a private, family tour. Cost will be $650 for up to 5 people in your group. For each additional person, the cost would be an additional $100 per person. On this special tour, we will allow limited photography, to be determined by the tour guide. Our guide will take photos, using your phone, of you and your group near various cages of your choice, at a safe distance from the animals. We will also allow our guests to pet one of our wolves! Through a secure chain link fence, of course. We will also allow anyone who wishes to participate, to use tongs and feed a piece of meat to one of our wolves through the fence, or feed our big ‘ol black bear, Teddy, a honey bun!
If you are interested in taking a private tour on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday (day/time to be determined by the availability of my tour guides), simply email me at wildreserve@aol.com and I’ll make arrangements for the tour.
